About this location

Due to the size of this event we will be only be able to take 10 people on this investigation.

The Priest House set in the beautiful surroundings of Ashdown Forest. The 15th century timber-framed hall-house was built as an estate office for the Priory of St. Pancras in Lewes.

Originally an open hall, the house boasted a living room & upper chamber with pantry, buttery and a solar wing. Moving forward in time two new rooms were placed upstairs due to the creation of large stone chimneys. These were built to replace the medieval open hearth.

The Priest House was said to have been seized in 1583 by none other than Henry VIII and is said to have passed through the hands of Queen Mary I, Queen Elisabeth I, Thomas Cromwell and even Anne of Cleves.

With this vast history is there any wonder that there has been countless reports of paranormal activity over its long history.
