Tell us a little about yourself, what interests you about the paranormal?

I am interested in the science behind the paranormal claims, I believe strongly in investigating using Occam's Razor. The simplest possible answer using the least assumptions is probably the correct one.

What is your favourite piece of equipment, and how do you like to use it?

An Audio recorder and environmental data logger placed outside a building being investigated. They have been so helpful in being able to either prove or disprove events recorded inside the investigation, it would be difficult to work conclusively without them.

Quiet observation, listening carefully and calling out with tailored questions.

What location gave you the best recorded evidence of paranormal events, and what did you catch?

Towers Hospital in Leicester (unfortunately no longer standing)

Thinking about your experiences during an investigation, what location has stuck with you and why?

At Preston Manor, I heard a disembodied voice, and on a separate occasion a cupboard door opened right next to me.

From all the places you have investigated, have you witnessed anything which has made you believe there really such a thing as the paranormal, and what was it?

At the Towers Hospital, the team were investigating a day room at the end of a ward, in which we were the only team. We suddenly heard footsteps so loudly coming up towards the room, we thought they were another team. Straight after that, the motion detector in front of us was triggered! Upon investigation, there was no-one else in the ward. You can see for yourself here on the footage we caught where the footsteps actually shake the camera which was on a tripod

What advice would you give to anyone who is interested in investigating the paranormal?

Spend some time to learn about the location and it's history. You can use this whilst investigating to key into anyone who might still be there.

Also, be careful with your torch, when a torch is shined in your face you lose your night vision!
