Southern Ghost Society have secured an investigation at Botley Mill, a historic flour mill with origins tracing back to the 11th century. This historic location has a rich history of ownership by notable families such as the Mortimers and the Earl of Southampton and was operational until the 1980s, after which its operations were moved to Hedge End.
Today, Botley Mill is renowned not only for its historical significance but also for its paranormal activity with visitors reporting various sightings of various ghostly figures, including a stern watchman and a playful child spirit known to interact with paranormal teams’ equipment. Reports of disembodied voices, knocks and whistles have been reported from previous visitors coming from the dark and mysterious corridors of the Mill which has made Botley Mill a popular destination for new or experienced investigators.
